The international actress is raising the bar higher and higher in her Hollywood career. She is in a very creative period, with one film following another, and the actress running from film set to comedy clubs for stand up. After her success last year with NETFLIX, HBO, working with Ridley Scott and her teacher Al Pacino is now collaborating with Mickey Rourke on a new project. In addition, she is has taken on a role to play Sophia Loren in a film titled "So long Marianne" which will air on Apple TV.

Despina is a film warrior as she takes on one project after another with much fervor. She earned another international award (so far 86 total) for the film "Dreamer" by Bolivian director Clinton Siegle. It must be noted she is only Greek actress to have met with mega-millionaire Elon Musk and shared an engaging conversation. Famous singer Quincy Jones even dedicated his biography to Despina before he passed on. She is a rare gem who has rubbed shoulders from everyone from film, music and politics.

"I met the great Musk a few years ago and discussed a lot of astronomical topics, and he had asked me to write studies for Mars one, which I did. Their surprise was that towards the end of the study I wrote 3 jokes about moving to Mars, which made them laugh a lot and were surprised! Elon liked it a lot and told me a story that I have been making my motto ever since and I keep it to myself! He is very intelligent and unique, with a special eccentricity that I like!".

Her recent project with Mickey Rourke is titled "Ave U" which was directed by Gino Donatelli and written by Joe Pip. She plays a stylist who is thrust into an investigation surrounding the murder of two prominent mob bosses. The other project that has propelled her career was the recent "So long Marianne" where she plays the actress Sophia Loren. The film which is a spinoff of the classic "Child on a Dolphin", the set was filmed on the island of Hydra. It was a great honor for Despina to play this legendary actress and for it to have been filmed on this beautiful Greek island let alone appearing on Apple TV.

Outside of acting, Despina has also proven to be an exciting stand-up comedian. Only recently she portrayed the famous legend of Melina Mecouri. She first introduced this character in one of her sets at the iconic Comedy Store. With minimal rehearsal for this character Despina still managed to carry it through and gave the audience and comical view of the star, Melina. To top off many of her encounters with actors and musicians was her personal connection to the legendary Quincy Jones.

I met him regularly at various events but also visited him at his home at Bel Air after his invitation, an evening that I will never forget. A wonderful house in Bel Air where countless Grammys, Emmys, Oscars were celebrated, and he sat with simplicity showing me all evening on the computer new talents that he discovered. Very sweet and tender as a person. Just before he left, at the Emmy awards, he invited me to dinner in honor of the great Quincy Jones, and he gave me his biographies with a personal signature "to Despina" and valuable items from his foundation, of which I am officially a member. Another moving last meeting, I feel grateful for what I am experiencing in my personal life, and in my professional life as well."

Currently, she has a drama film "Dreamer" that has been submitted to many festivals in the film circuit. Despina just completed her part in a new film featuring Liam Nesson called "Hotel Tehran", a biography drama. Weekly she appears at the Comedy Store with her stand-up comedy. Despina in her spare time does a lot of writing and paints portraits of the extraordinary individuals she has crossed paths with like Quincy Jones, Bob Marley, Jack Nicholson, Al Pacino, and more. Also, on the backburner she has six films in pre-production. Despina is woman on a mission to entertain the world whether it be on the silver screen or on stage she is a force to be reckon with.
