Music has always been a staple in the home Konstantinos aka DJ ARKETEK grew up in. His father was one of his biggest influences. His dad would join him to listen to everything from classic rock, disco, dance music and their native Greek pop. It is no wonder he gravitated to music the way he did. The music that drew him most was house music that was founded by legends like Frankie Knuckles, Ron Hardy, Jesse Saunders, Chip E., Joe Smooth, Steve "Silk" Hurley, Farley "Jackmaster" Funk, Marshall Jefferson, Phuture, and more.

Konstantinos at first focused on his studies and graduated with a degree in Architectural Engineering. While he was in school, he came up with his stage name, ARKETEK, which was a play on what he studied in college. At this time is when he thought seriously of diving into the house music industry as a DJ. He would navigate the tight community of the dance music world and soon linked up with well-known DJ / Remixer DJ Dimitri Tee. This would open the door to Kostantinos to also work on a virtual studio session with Chicago's own Greek house music artist, DJ Georgie Porgie.

He would experiment with the different facets of house and techno music perfecting his style. Traveling to his father's homeland, Greece, he saw how universal that genre of music was as the locals ate it up. Kostantinos work ethic turned into his debut remix due out this fall under the label Robotika. The track is a remix of an older vocal house single from long ago where he put his own spin on it creating a melodic techno record. Konstantinos / ARKETEK, is building his name and growing with each beat. It is also a plus for him as house and techno have become more immersed in the mainstream.

"I always loved music so when I got into DJing it just felt right.

But when I finally got into the studio and started creating music, that's when I truly felt my journey really began. I saw a blank canvas with unlimited possibilities, and I really fell in love with the freedom of being able to remix my favorite songs and produce my own original tracks."
