It is one thing to attempt to take on one discipline let alone three.
Yet Alexa Modugno has managed to harness various artistic roles without
skipping a beat. Alexa first approached her love of music and mastered
the violin. This garnered her to be a recipient of the Filene Concerto
Competition at Skidmore University. Earning this accolade Alexa was
offered a scholarship to Syracuse University.
"As a child, my parents exposed me to the arts early on, including
theatre, music, art, and opera. When I was 6 years old, I was the sneezy
girl in the Nutcracker for 3 years, but my ballet instructor said if I'm
going to pursue ballet I need to choose between ballet and violin, and
I chose violin because music has always been my biggest passion, and
I don't regret it. I think exposing children to the arts is essential
in making sure they flourish into quality adults, because art is the
truest expression of the soul."
She opted to attend Vanderbilt then moved on to NYU. Since then, she
has mingled among the entertainment world offering her talents whenever
possible. One of her first cracks at the industry was acting in the indie
project "Nick & Nicky" (2019) as a socialite. This would lead to
being a host at the New York City's 8th annual 2019 Winter Film Awards.
Alexa would look for other ways to show she is multi-talented by modeling
and acting. In 2020 she notched two roles, one in the thriller "Beautiful
Distractions" and the other "Last Vendetta" (postproduction).
During the past few years, she took on the task of penning her first book
which would be called "The Magical Makings of Molly the Musician" which is
a children's book. The book's main message is about resilience, determination,
and the importance of embracing setbacks as steppingstones to success. One
of her main goals is to be a humanitarian and eliminate homelessness by
creating more affordable housing. On the artistic end she is looking to
completing her first script "Blue Lips" a coming-of-age story about
the "me too" movement set in an elite private school.

The children's book does echo a bit of Alexa's own life experiences since
the character Molly is a violinist. She does plan to develop a Molly book
series in the near future. Writing, acting, and music are staples of Alexa's
life. As a young lady she attended performing arts camps including Usdan,
Belvoir Terrace and Interlochen where she studied theatre. Obviously, this
developed her talent as an actress. As a writer she was offered the position
of "Culture Editor" for the magazine Frontrunner Magazine due to her
obvious drive.
"I feel like acting is the most cathartic form of art because
you can delve into an "alter ego" and become whoever you want to
be and separate yourself from yourself. I've done some featured
extra work, with a few celebrities like Vivica Fox, DMX, and Sean
Young. However, my acting debut will be in a TV show called
Brooklyn Ties that's filming in March."
Alexa is always looking for new ways to delve into the arts. Only
recently she modeled in a show with Joe Corbalis who is the CEO of
Fashion Week Westchester. In 2019 was her debut on the runway for
a show by Daniel Chimowitz which led to six other shows. Alexa is
woman on a mission to entertain the masses in any art form be it
music, writing or acting keep your ears and eyes peeled for this
multi-talented lady.
